Releaseweek Inspiration with Maria

Hello Crafty Friends and Krumspring Fans,

It’s release week on the Krumspring Blog and I’m really excited to show my cards I made with Sets from the new Krumspring Stamps Release. The brand new Stamp Sets will be available at Feb, 4th in the Shop.

For my first card, I used the beautiful “For my Sunflower” Stamp Set.
I used the masking Stamping technique (only a little bit… ☺) to add more depth to my card-
Then I water colored the flowers with my Zig Markers.

Afterwards I water colored the background in light blue and added some paint splatters in
gold and red.
I mounted the cardfront to the Cardbase using dimensional foam tape and embellished the card with some of my beloved Clear Sparkling Sequins and the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.

For my second card, I used the absolutely lovely “You make me fly” Stamp Set.
I water colored all pieces with my Zig Markers, using the no-line coloring technique,
then fussy cut them. The background is water colored too.

I combined two Sentiments from different Sets. The top Sentiment is from “Shoot for the moon”, the Sentiment below is from the “You make me fly” Stamp Set.
I mounted all pieces on the Cardbase using dimensional foam tape. Then I added the stars to the sky using a white and clear gel pen. Some sequins finished the card.

Hope you have a great day!

Love, Maria

Release week inspiration with Dana

Hello, crafty friends!
It’s Dana here. I’m so delighted to featuring Krumspring February release stamp sets. Today, I have two cards to share with you. Let’s get started!

First card is spinner card using ‘You make me fly‘ stamp set. I’m in love with these balloons!!

I started with stitched rectangle die for red cardstock. I then white heat embossed balloons on it. I stamped cute critter on a piece of bristol paper and drew some details and colored it with Zig clean color real brush markers.
I fussy cut it out with scissors and foam mounted it onto the small circle panel I made for spinner card. You can see a little part of circle panel in the following pic. I then die cut a channel from red panel using LF Slide on over dies and combined it with critter.

Next, I mounted baby pink card stock on the white card base and foam mounted red panel on it. I also added heart with metallic silver threads to top of card. Heart image is from Happiness overload stamp set and I white heat embossed it on a piece of baby pink card stock and added colors using Zig markers.

Lastly, I white heat embossed the sentiment from ‘You make me fly‘ and ‘For my sunflower‘ stamp set on the black card stock and foam mounted it on the red panel. Before finish it off, I added little shimmer around the balloons using Sakura gelly roll pens.

Now, it’s time to showcasing my second card using ‘For my sunflower‘ stamp set. For this card, I stretched my stamp by separating flower and stem using scissors to create my own floral background.

I randomly stamped sunflower image onto watercolor paper. I watercolored flowers and background with Mijello mission gold and water brush. I also splattered white acrylic paint with water.

I then die cut sentiment from the watercolor panel using MFT Hello and beautiful die set. I die cut same sentiment 3 times more from another papers and stacked layers for each of them ( top layer is from watercolor panel) before adhering them to card.

I mounted watercolor panel and sentiment layers on the white card base. I stamped another sentiment from ‘For my sunflower‘ stamp set. With some dew drops I finished it off.

That’s all for today. Hope you got some inspiration from these cards.
Happy crafting!

Valentine’s Day flamin-go duo card with Erica

Hello, Erica on the blog today with a couple of love flamingoes. Valentine’s Day is coming up and who can resist a pair of loved up hot pink birds? Nobody, surely? Right?

I started out by stamping up the flamingoes and the hearts in almost the same place as they are on the stamp storage sheet on Copic friendly card stock. After that I started colouring in the birds and the hearts with my Copic markers. I used slightly different shades of pink on the two birds to separate them a little bit, I made the male flamingo a bit darker and kept the female lighter as I didn’t want them to look exactly the same. The hearts I used a dark fuchsia for to really make them pop.

I wrapped a bit of gold thread around this piece to add some interest to the background before adding the panel with the birds on top of it using foam tape. Then I added the whole shebang to a white card base.

As this is a Valentine’s Day card it really had to say Happy Valentine’s Day on it. On a small label I cut out of vellum, I stamped the sentiment using white embossing powder. This label I adhered in the right corner so as to not cover up the flamingoes too much. It’s quite subtle as it’s white on white but I think it works. If you want it brighter, you can use a pink embossing powder or back the vellum with pink card stock.

For finishing touches I used both enamel accents in white AND sequins. Yep, I don’t tend to do things half ways, do I? Oh, if only there was a half crazed, madly cackling emoji to insert here, lol!

Well, that’s it from me for today but I hope this has inspired you to flamin-go and get yourself these stamps and make a cute Valentine’s Day card for your own love-bird.

Happy crafting and have a sweet day!

From this design

To this design ! Eeeeep

And second of all, a quick run through of the new features that are important to you:

Painted Night Sky with Rowena

Hello! So thrilled to be sharing another card with you all.

For today’s card, I wanted to create a night sky featuring ‘Shoot for the Moon‘ stamp. I wanted the moon to be the focal point of the card.

I created a loose watercolor background by applying a wet on wet technique and allowing the paint to flow and blend on it’s own. To finish, I flicked white paint and added some shimmer.

For the Moon, I heat embossed and watercolored it as well. I also added some shimmer( it’s hard to capture the shimmer on camera, but trust me, it’s gorgeous!). The little sheep is colored with copics.

I then fussy cut all images and adhered it with foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment on a black cardstock and trimmed it. To finish off the card, I added a few die cut hearts. That finishes off the card for today.

I hope you all like today’s post and got inspired. Till next time!!

There Is No One Like You with Maria + Giveaway Winner

Giveaway winner at the bottom of this post 🙂

Thank you so much everybody, for all the love you have left for my brand new Dream Team, here on the blog, on Instagram and Facebook! You rock!

Today it’s my turn to share a card, and I went full on blue.

I started with the little hexagon from the Geometry stampset. I used the 8 different blue inks from the photo. The darker blues I could stamp twice – a dark and a lighter – to extend my colours.

The hexagons is placed completely wonky, but I really like it that way.

The Peacock from Peacockness is coloured with Copic markers and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. To keep my copics safe, I used the MISTI stamping tool so I could first stamp the image with a light colour, colour it with the copic markers and then stamp the exact same place again with the embossing ink pad.

For a little extra interest, I added the black sewing thread under the vellum and diecut. The text is from the Shoot For The Moon stampset. And of course – lots of sequins 🙂

Well… it must be time for a winner!
The winner is comment number 13:

Please e-mail me at info(a) with your address. I will then ship the stamps to you, a few days before the release is out.
Thank you to all who participated!

Big hugs and happy sunday!

Believe In Yourself with Anna

Hello, Anna is here with my first card I created being the dream team member.

Here I played with Tou-can do it! and One Triangle at a Time stamp sets.

I started with the creating of the background – I white embossed One Triangle at a Time stamp and then blended with three shades of green Distress inks. After that I sprinkled the background with the water – small spots add more dimensions to the card.

Then I colored and fussy cut the toucan – I googled how it looks)) I really enjoyed to color its beak!

Also I added the green scalloped edge and the brown branch, and assembled all elements together.

The last detail is white embossed on the green cardstock sentiment.

Have a good day!
