Birthday cards with Dana

Hello, Krumspring friends!

It’s Dana here coming back with two birthday cards to share with you. Let’s get started!

For my first card, I started by white heat embossing the triangle background from Awesome Triangle Wizard stamp. I ink blended it with dye inks using mini blending tool. I then die cut it with letter dies. At this time, I saved negative pieces for next card 🙂

I heat embossed again with butterfly image from Spread Your Wings stamp set using gold tinsel embossing powder on vellum paper. I fussy cut it with scissors.

Next, I trimmed black card stock as shown in the picture. I then adhered glittery papers matching with front panel’s colors.

To finish, I mounted triangle panel on the white card base using glue tape and foam mounted black panels, too. Lastly, I embellished gem stickers around butterfly.

For second card, I combined Tou-can do it! stamp set and Funky Pineapples stamp set.

To start, I stamped toucan images with distress ink, Antique Linen two times onto different papers. I colored them with alcohol markers using no line technique. I then fussy cut the one of their wings and adhered it to the other toucan. Do you remember my very first DT card I made for Krumspring stamps? I think I love flying toucan! Haha.

I then die cut hearts in two sizes from white card stock and yellow-green vellum paper. I stamped pineapples using masking technique with Versafine Onyx black (line image) and dye inks (solid image). To vellum heart, I applied Wink of Stella brush. And I glued them each other like gift packet for toucan’s friend.

Next, I adhered silver glittery washi tapes each side of A2 sized white card base. I mounted watercolor look paper on it and arranged all pieces where I wanted them using foam adhesive and glue. To finish, I embellished clear sequins here and there.

Hope you enjoyed these cards! Have a happy weekend!

Love,
Dana

Toucan do it with Maria

Hello Crafty Friends and Krumspring Fans,

Maria here – I’m glad to be back at the Krumspringshop-Blog with two encouraging cards.

For my first card, I used the incredible “One triangle at a time” Stamp Set and combined it with the beautiful “Tou-can do it!” Stamp Set.

I water colored the triangle Stamp with my Zig Markers in different shades of blue. Then I diecutted the lettering “TOUCAN DO IT”.

Afterwards I stamped the Toucan, water colored und fussy cut him. I stamped another Sentiment on black cardstock, then heat white embossed.

Then I mounted all pieces on a piece of white cardstock using dimensional foam tape and embellished the cardfront with some Clear Sparkling Sequins and the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.

And the end I mounted the Cardfront on the white cardbase using dimensional foam tape.

For my second card, I used again the “Tou-can do it!” Stamp Set.

I stamped the lucky clover in different shades of green on a piece of white cardstock using dye inks.

Then I diecutted the cardfront with a circle die and diecutted another circle from white cardstock.

I stamped the Toucan on the circle, colored him with Copic Markers and added some Distress Ink on the border using a mini ink blending tool.

Then I mounted the Cardfront on the white cardbase using dimensional foam tape. I added the circle using double sided tape.

I stamped two Sentiments on black cardstock, then heat white embossed and mounted them on the cardfront using dimensional foam tape.

Some Clear Sparkling Sequins and the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen finished the card

Believe In Yourself with Anna

Hello, Anna is here with my first card I created being the dream team member.

Here I played with Tou-can do it! and One Triangle at a Time stamp sets.

I started with the creating of the background – I white embossed One Triangle at a Time stamp and then blended with three shades of green Distress inks. After that I sprinkled the background with the water – small spots add more dimensions to the card.

Then I colored and fussy cut the toucan – I googled how it looks)) I really enjoyed to color its beak!

Also I added the green scalloped edge and the brown branch, and assembled all elements together.

The last detail is white embossed on the green cardstock sentiment.

Have a good day!

Anna

You Rock card with Rosali

Hi, Rosali here! I’m super excited to share my first blog post here for Krumspring Stamps!

For Christmas I got a lot of lovely mail from crafty friends so I thought it would be a good idea to stock up on thank you cards … So this is what I will be showing you today!
I used three Krumspring sets for this project: Happiness Overload, You Rock! and Tou-can Do It!

Here is how I made the card:

  1. Repeated stamping for the background
I don’t know about you but I just looove Polka dots! So I used the biggest dot from the Happiness Overload set to create my own Polka dot pattern in fresh yellow and green colors! You could draw in some lines with a pencil and ruler first to make sure everthing will be evenly placed but I just eyeballed it! ☺ I got a little blotch at that one green dot but I decided to leave it as is and cover it up later when I assemble the card.

2. The beautiful bird from Tou-can Do It! will be the focus point of my card and I wanted it to have that dark black for contrast but also some beautiful, vibrant red and yellow colours (to match the partly yellow background). To chose the Copic markers I wanted to use I started by googling some pictures of Toucans and ended up using mainly these colours:

3. Putting the card together
Besides the background piece and the coloured bird I chose the big heart from You Rock! as my third main element. First, I did some red ink blending with Distress Inks and dye ink on a piece of watercolour paper. After it was dry I stamped the heart on top and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I assembled my card using some foam tape for dimension and a few sequins and tiny rhinestones as embellishments. This is the finished thank you card:

I hope you like it! Happy Saturday, everybody! ♥
