Superhero Madness with Maria

Hello there

I have been on a fun crafting spree this week and wanted to share it with you all 🙂

The “You Pixelate Me” really has a lot of opportunities hidden inside. Plus it is super easy to line up – with or without a MISTI, so you can keep expanding your images in size. For these cards I have stamped the image several times for each – I used the MISTI since I am a monkey in doing things straight 🙂

I began by finding an image with a lot of superheroes. I used this one for several images:

Found on Pinterest – source missing.

I created 8 cards with Batman, Superman, The Hulk, Thor, Loke, Spiderman, Captain America and Ironman.

Oh my – I had SO much fun with these. When I first got going, I just could not stop again. And I am still contemplating some more designs. I mean – Wonder Woman just came out, right!?

For me these are the perfect boys/men cards. I have my own superhero who I could gift all of these to 🙂 Ha ha…

Here is a closeup of all the cards:

Spiderman

I think the Spiderman card i my favourite. I was just in New York last month with my boyfriend, and every single time we turned a corner, he had a Spiderman scene for me.

Captain America

The caption says “Congratulations on your day” in Danish. I did Distress Ink stripes for the background and went crazy with my Nuvo drops.

Batman

I have been wanting to do a Batman card since Keeway guest designed in March.
I used the text from “For My Caveman” and wrote bat instead of cave.

Loke

These are just my colours – and that might have been my only reason for doing this figure in the first place since I had to check with Jacob who he was 🙂
I used text from “For My Sunflower” to create the sentiment. I just handwrote Villain.

Superman

I couldn’t leave out Superman, right? Love that silkyhair 🙂 Text is also from “For My Caveman“.

Iron Man

I can’t look at this card without beginning to sing “I am IRONMAN” in my head. Awesome song. The sentiment is Happy Birthday in Danish.

The Hulk

This card ended up a little funky green, sparkle, disco-ish. But I still like it. The text is from Monkey Madness.

Thor

Nordic Mythology (wohooo Scandinavia) and Thor. I so wanted to do a lightning behind him, but I could not make it work. So instead he got some clouds lol.

Well, that was a whole bunch of cards ! And I could keep them coming – I had som much fun 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this little superhero(and villain) installment.

Hugs
Maria

Release Inspiration with Rowena

I’m so excited to be introducing some new stamps for an upcoming release for June 3. So get ready for a whole lot of awesomeness coming your way this week from the entire dream team.

For my first card, I used the ‘You Are Awesome’ stamp. This stamp is perfect for creating beautiful and unique backgrounds for any of your projects but for my card I used it to create a whimsical moon to create my night scene 😉

  1. First I white heat embossed the large scribbly (is that even a word? Oh well it is now! Hehe!!) circle stamp from the ‘You Are Awesome’ stamp.
  2. I masked my moon and blended chipped sapphire, blueprint sketched, faded jeans, and mermaid lagoon distress inks. I added a little bit of black soot to tone down the blues.
  3. I then splattered white paint and perfect pearls for added shine (it’s hard to see on the photo, but trust me it’s shiny) 😉
  4. To finished the scene, I colored the cute hanging bear from the ‘You Make Me Fly’ stamp in copics and the tiny star from ‘Star Power‘ stamp.
  5. To finish my card I used the Believe in Yourself sentiment from ‘Tou-can Do It‘ stamp.

That completes the first card!

As soon as I saw the monkeys from the ‘Monkey Madness’ stamp set, I immediately had an idea in my head. So, for my second card I was inspired by the movie King Kong! Hehe!! A cuter and a lot less scary version of the movie! 😁

For this card I created a fun and cute birthday card. Where King Kong is holding on to some heart balloons and is hanging from the side of a building.

1. I created a loose watercolor sky using a wet on wet technique. I used salty ocean distress ink.

2. I extended the ‘Pixelate Me‘ stamp and created a building, a pattern which I found on the internet. Colored my image in copics.

3. I stamp the heart and made it into balloons. Using a copic friendly pen.

4. I colored all my images in copics and to finish the card I stamp the sentiment from the same set.

I hope you had fun today and got excited for the upcoming release!!! There are many more beautiful and fun cards coming your way from the rest of the dream team so stay tuned!!! Thanks again for stopping by!!!

Happy Crafting!!!

Janni

This delicate soft card is just amazing. The background patterns are just waiting for you to get going. Happy Birthday text is from The Necessary One.

Dana

This card just makes me smile. That happy coffee cup is a real heartbreaker lol 🙂 You Bring Out The Best In Me text is from For My Sunflower.

Erica

Erica went all in and created 4!! cards for this spotlight. This heart is just amazing. She used text from For My Sunflower and You Pixelate Me.

You can easily stamp this image several times next to each other. Erica did this and created and intricate background. She also used the Dahlia in Yellow in the subtle shape of a heart. Text is from The Necessary One.

Use the stamp as a guideline for an endless number of patterns. Here Erica created two cards with the same pattern but changed the colour. It’s funny how big of a difference that makes right? Dude you are so old is the text that goes with the You Pixelate Me stamp and Happy is from The Necessary One.

Use the stamp as a guideline for an endless number of patterns. Here Erica created two cards with the same pattern but changed the colour. It’s funny how big of a difference that makes right? For this she used the text from The Necessary One as well.

Today we have a bunch of cards highlighting the You Pixelate Me set!

Maria

I found a photo online of a pixelated version of The Good Dinosaur (have you seen the movie? It is so good!) and immideately knew I had to combine it with the Caveman stamp from For My Caveman. This is honestly one of my favourite cards ever 🙂

I hosted a stamping event in March where Tanja from HappyHillDk made this Pacman game! I just had to replicate it myself 🙂

Rosali

Rosali is a genius! Micki Mouse – It’s perfect 🙂 She combined it with Star Power. Perfect cards for so many occasions and of course – children!

This is just so awesome! I love how Rosali kept the card clean and simple to really make the figure pop!

You cannot look at this card and not smile 🙂

Natalie

Natalie always thinks outside the box. She says about this card: “I wanted to do something slightly different and I used the stamp as the grid lines for some hand-stitched embroidery. The possibilities are endless with this and I had lots of different design ideas before I settled on this very simple heart shape! “

If you do not already own this stampset – it is on sale by 20 % until May 18 at midnight !

Thank you for stopping by – I really hope you are enjoying this spotlight 🙂

Rainbow Cards with Maria

Hello Crafty Friends and Krumspring Fans, Maria here.

Today is a good day because I’m back at the Krumspring Blog with three new cards.
But today is also a sad day, because it’s my last post as a Krumspring Dream Team Member.
I leave the team because I have too much work in my real job the next time…

For my first card, I used the beautiful “Star Power” Stamp Set.
I took the big star Stamp to create my own background using a Copic friendly dye Ink, then clear heat embossed. Then I colored all stars with my Copic Markers.
I stamped the Sentiment on a piece of black Cardstock, then heat white embossed and diecutted.
Then I mounted the background on a black cardbase using dimensional foam tape and added the Sentiment. I embellished the card with some little wooden stars.

For my second card, I used three different Stamp Sets = “You pixelate me”, “You rock!” and “Spread your wings”
First I stamped the “You pixelate me” Stamp on a piece of white cardstock, then heat white embossed and colored with Copic Markers in all rainbow colors.
Then I stamped three Sentiments in a piece of black cardstock, then heat white embossed.
After fussy cutted the pixelate me image I mounted it on a black cardfront using dimensional foam tape.
Then I mounted the Cardfront on the black cardbase using dimensional foam tape too.
I added lots of sequins in all rainbow colors to finish the card

For my third card I combined the “Dahlia” and the “Spread your wings” Stamp Sets. First I stamped the Dahlia Stamp randomly on a piece of white cardstock then heat white embossed. I colored all blossoms and the background with Copic markers. Then I mounted the background on a black cardbase using dimensional foam tape and added the Sentiment. I stamped three little butterflies, colored them with Copic Markers and fussy cut them. I embellished the card with the butterflies and some clear sparkling sequins.

I would love to say a big Thank you to my “boss” Maria for her caring and thoughtful leadership of this awesome design team. I had so much fun and leave the team with a heavy heart.
A big Thank you to my lovely team mates too. Girls you are absolutely awesome and I love you.
Thank you for this great time!!!

Enjoy your day!

Love, Maria

Guest Designer Keeway – Part 2

Ba-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-batman! Hello friends! It is Keeway here and I have fun card I created with the ‘You Pixelate Me’ stamp set. This set is super versatile because you can literally create anything you want in pixel!

I just watched lego batman not too long ago, and it really inspired my card today. Literally. Haha! I looked up “pixel batman” in google and found an image that I can work with, and started coloring each individual box. I had to stamp the grid stamp twice because batman was a tad larger than the size of the stamp, but with some fussy cutting and gluing, I can create an image as large as I want!

I stamped ba-na-na-na-na-na all over the background over grey cardstock. Then I adhered my batman over the card with foam tape.

Now I have the perfect card to send to my nephew who loves batman!

Cheers, Keeway

Spring Festival Challenge 6 – Anna

Hello, Anna is here today with my card for Krumspring Stamps Spring Festival event!

Every designer has the specific challenge for you during this event. And my theme was – the sketch!

Oh I liked to make sketches ages ago! And for today I prepared the simple one, so you can create everything you want even if you are not very familiar with sketches.

I made You Pixelate Me stamp set the focal point of the card and put it on the place of the smaller rectangle on the sketch. I white embossed the grid and colored being inspired the embroidery schemes. I copied the butterflies from this scheme.

The banner under the central rectangle is cut of the green card stock and also I added the scalloped panel on the background for more dimensions. The sentiment is placed on two dark strips you can see on the sketch. I white embossed the phrase from For My Sunflower stamp set on the card stock of different colors.

And at the end I added some clear drops.

Have a good day and join our Festival!

Spring Festival Challenge 2 – Rowena

Hello friends!

Rowena here and today’s challenge is Easter! Create any projects or cards with an Easter theme.

Here’s how I created mine! I wanted to create a card with added details.

For example, for the grass, I white heat embossed ‘One Triangle at a Time‘ and I used a grass die (any grass die you have will do) to make the grass. The triangles just adds a bit of interest to the grass! Then I blended mowed lawn and twisted citron distress inks. Flicked some water for that distress look.

I white heat embossed  ‘You Pixelate Me‘ to create pattern to my tree and sun. Then die cut the sun and the tree. I blended squeezed lemonade  and wild honey for the sun. Twisted citron and forest moss for the tree.

I think using these two stamps just adds a bit of something to your plain paper, when die cutting any image. You can totally add pattern to any die cuts you have. The cute little house is from the ‘You make me Fly‘ stamp set. I colored the image in copics and then fussy cut. The bunny and Easter basket is colored in copics as well.To finish the card I heat embossed silver for the sentiment.

That finishes the card for today!

I can’t wait to see what you all come up with! Be sure to head to the webshop for details on how to participate in our Spring Festival 2017 Challenge. Be sure to checkout tomorrow’s post for the next challenge theme.

Rainbow Balloons with Anna

Hello! Anna is here today with my new card.

Here I played with new awesome You Make Me Fly stamps set. It reminded the movie ‘Up’ to my daughter and she asked if she could make one card too. So another card was made by me.

I stamped the balloons batch with the tiny house under them and colored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. For the balloons I picked the rainbow color scheme – it always looks good and brings the smile.

Then I prepared the background – I used clouds border dies and light blue inks to make the sky. I fussy cut the houses with the balloons and adhered them all with the foam tape. And at the end I white embossed the sentiment on the strip of the black cardstock.

Have a good day!
