Pastel Queen – all about favorites / with Janni

Ohhhh Maria really did hit me right in the heart when she called me Pastel Queen, when she posted cards from my last post on Instagram ……Man am I proud <3 Thank you so much <3

Today I am going to show you some of my favorites…..my favorite copic color combo Peachy-Pink, R00-R01-R11-R12-R20-R22-R32-R42, and my all-time favorite Krumspringstamp `You Rock’.

For my first card I stamped ‘You Rock’, and the cute monkey from ‘Monkey Madness’ on Neenah crest cardstock, and colored up with my copics. I just love to color this heart, and it looks awesome in this color combo R00-R11-R12-R42. For the monkey I used W00-W1-W3, and E000-E01 for the tummy and face. After cutting them out, I added foam to the back.

For the background I used a creme colored structured cardstock, and used a die to make a frame, and added it to a back panel of light pink dotted cardstock. I placed my heart in the middle, and the monkey by the side, waiving out to say I gorilla like you. That sentiment is also from ‘Monkey Madness’ and I stamped that on a little banner of Neenah cardstock, and placed it above the heart. For the last finish I used ice cube jewels for a bit of sparkle. This card is so much me – pastel cutness.

My second card is also in the same color combo using R00-R11-R22-R32-R42 – this time I used the ‘Flamingo Fever’ flamingoes, they are just so beautiful. I used my scissors to cut them out and a scalpel for the details on the legs. I wanted to have the flamingoes in focus, so I stamped the sentiment from ‘You are awesome’ up in the left corner, added the flamingoes on foam, and then on the scalloped cardstock.

For the last touch I used some crystal sequins. Voila

I hope you liked my pastel post.

Hugs Janni

Guest Designer Niki Bee – Part 3

I love making cards. I love sitting amongst all the things I “must have” and feeling happy. If its a good day, I feel creative too. Today I was rushed with ideas and I’m thrilled with the end result. This card has all the elements which appeal to me the most, a pop of washy colour, subtle dimension, crisp white against light grey cardstock, sparkle and lots of white space.

I started out with stamping, heat embossing and trimming out the heart from the YOU ROCK! set by Krumspring Stamps. Using Distress ink I smooshed ink onto the heart. I did this several times to build up the colour till I was happy with the result.

Next up I took white cardstock and fun foam and die cut them to the size of a regular card. I die cut a circle opening into the card stock, then to line it up perfectly with the fun foam, I slipped the die back onto the white cardstock and placed the fun foam behind it and ran it through my die cutting machine. I could certainly have just used foam tape, but I love the feel and look of using a single piece of fun foam.

I adhered the dried heart onto some scrap fun foam and cut it out. This will ensure the heart and the card panel are the same height.

I love gray cardstock. It’s my go-to. So I took a scrap piece that was a little larger than the die cut circle and adhered it to the back of the panel. I stamped the You Rock sentiment from the YOU ROCK! set and die cut it so the edges match the stitched detail matches the main panel.

The card was complete once I added in some sparkling sequins and clear dots.
Hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Rainbow Cards with Maria

Hello Crafty Friends and Krumspring Fans, Maria here.

Today is a good day because I’m back at the Krumspring Blog with three new cards.
But today is also a sad day, because it’s my last post as a Krumspring Dream Team Member.
I leave the team because I have too much work in my real job the next time…

For my first card, I used the beautiful “Star Power” Stamp Set.
I took the big star Stamp to create my own background using a Copic friendly dye Ink, then clear heat embossed. Then I colored all stars with my Copic Markers.
I stamped the Sentiment on a piece of black Cardstock, then heat white embossed and diecutted.
Then I mounted the background on a black cardbase using dimensional foam tape and added the Sentiment. I embellished the card with some little wooden stars.

For my second card, I used three different Stamp Sets = “You pixelate me”, “You rock!” and “Spread your wings
First I stamped the “You pixelate me” Stamp on a piece of white cardstock, then heat white embossed and colored with Copic Markers in all rainbow colors.
Then I stamped three Sentiments in a piece of black cardstock, then heat white embossed.
After fussy cutted the pixelate me image I mounted it on a black cardfront using dimensional foam tape.
Then I mounted the Cardfront on the black cardbase using dimensional foam tape too.
I added lots of sequins in all rainbow colors to finish the card

For my third card I combined the “Dahlia” and the “Spread your wings” Stamp Sets. First I stamped the Dahlia Stamp randomly on a piece of white cardstock then heat white embossed. I colored all blossoms and the background with Copic markers. Then I mounted the background on a black cardbase using dimensional foam tape and added the Sentiment. I stamped three little butterflies, colored them with Copic Markers and fussy cut them. I embellished the card with the butterflies and some clear sparkling sequins.

I would love to say a big Thank you to my “boss” Maria for her caring and thoughtful leadership of this awesome design team. I had so much fun and leave the team with a heavy heart.
A big Thank you to my lovely team mates too. Girls you are absolutely awesome and I love you.
Thank you for this great time!!!

Enjoy your day!

Love, Maria

Spring Festival Challenge 5 – Maria

Hello Crafty Friends and Krumspring Fans,

Maria Peters here and today’s challenge theme is Shapes.
Have fun and create a card (or two or three 😊) with Shapes theme.

Here is what I came up with!

For my first card, I used the awesome “Geometry” Stamp Set and combined it
with the beautiful “You rock!” Stamp Set.
I used the big triangle Stamp to create my own patterned background using a Copic friendly dye Ink. Then I colored all triangles with my Copic Markers in soft spring colors.
I stamped the Sentiment from the “You rock!” Stamp Set on a piece of black Cardstock, then heat white embossed and diecutted.
Then I mounted the background on the cardbase using dimensional foam tape and added the Sentiment. I embellished the card with some matching Sequins.

For my second card, I used the “Geometry” and the “Happiness overload” Stamp Sets to create my background full of circles in different shades of yellow, red and pink.
Then I mounted the Cardfront on the white cardbase using dimensional foam tape.
I stamped the Sentiment four times on pink and orange cardstock, then heat white embossed.
This idea with the Sentiment I saw on the Blog from Jennifer McGuire and adopted it for my card.
After fussy cutted I mounted the Sentiment on the cardfront using dimensional foam tape.
Some Clear Sparkling Sequins finished the card

For my third card, I finally used the awesome “Shine bright like a diamond” Stamp Set.
I stamped the big diamond all over on a piece of white Cardstock, then heat gold embossed. I colored all diamonds in soft spring colors using Copic Markers.
Then I mounted the Cardfront on the white cardbase using dimensional foam tape.
I stamped the Sentiment on a piece of black Cardstock, then heat gold embossed and diecutted.
Then I mounted it on the cardfront using dimensional foam tape
Lots of Sparkling Clear Sequins gives shimmer.

Spring Festival Challenge 1 – Maria Krumspring

Hello there!

Maria (Krumspring) here today to share the first challenge for Spring Festival with you all!
I am so excited to see all your wonderful projects.

You can read challenges rules, information on giveaways and free shipping right here.

The first challenge theme is “TRIANGLES” (surprise surprise lol).

  • Create a card/project using triangles as a key feature.

For my cards I did not use triangles my usual way though! I tried to challenge myself a bit ha ha..

I got out the Geometry set and got the small triangle. I then divided my inks into two sections:

  1. Red, yellow, orange, purple and lilac.
  2. Greens, turquoise and blues.

And then it got fun! I used a post-it cut into a circle to stamp outside of. It got totally uneven, but I like the playfullness of the pattern.

After stamping the circle, I stamped a triangle in the spaces between the triangles, turning the opposite way and at the end I stamped a triangle mirroring the other triangles. I hope this makes some sort of sense lol 🙂 But you get the idea when you see the pattern.

For the green/blue card I used the sentiment from You Rock! and for the yellow/reds I used sentiments from For My Sunflower.

I finished the cards with lots of embellishments to make the colours pop and add to the playfullness of the cards.

I had so much fun with these cards.

I cannot wait to see what cards you will make, using triangles!
If you need triangle stampsets, check out the Triangle category in the shop.

Have fun crafting!
Hugs

Maria

You Rock card with Rosali

Hi, Rosali here! I’m super excited to share my first blog post here for Krumspring Stamps!

For Christmas I got a lot of lovely mail from crafty friends so I thought it would be a good idea to stock up on thank you cards … So this is what I will be showing you today!
I used three Krumspring sets for this project: Happiness Overload, You Rock! and Tou-can Do It!

Here is how I made the card:

  1. Repeated stamping for the background
I don’t know about you but I just looove Polka dots! So I used the biggest dot from the Happiness Overload set to create my own Polka dot pattern in fresh yellow and green colors! You could draw in some lines with a pencil and ruler first to make sure everthing will be evenly placed but I just eyeballed it! ☺ I got a little blotch at that one green dot but I decided to leave it as is and cover it up later when I assemble the card.

2. The beautiful bird from Tou-can Do It! will be the focus point of my card and I wanted it to have that dark black for contrast but also some beautiful, vibrant red and yellow colours (to match the partly yellow background). To chose the Copic markers I wanted to use I started by googling some pictures of Toucans and ended up using mainly these colours:

3. Putting the card together
Besides the background piece and the coloured bird I chose the big heart from You Rock! as my third main element. First, I did some red ink blending with Distress Inks and dye ink on a piece of watercolour paper. After it was dry I stamped the heart on top and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I assembled my card using some foam tape for dimension and a few sequins and tiny rhinestones as embellishments. This is the finished thank you card:

I hope you like it! Happy Saturday, everybody! ♥
