Hi there! Rowena here and today I have 4 fun projects to share, featuring some brand new stamps for an upcoming release(yes! our fearless leader has outdone herself again) Hehe!!! So let’s get started.
For my first card, I used the ‘You Pixelate Me‘ stamp set. Growing up and even as an adult we all enjoyed a little game of Tetris. So, my card is a play on the game.
I created different pieces based on the game and colored them with copics.
I then fussy cut the image and adhered it with foam tape. I then stamped the sentiment to finish the card. I just love this stamp!! The possibilities are endless.
For my second card, I’m featuring ‘You make me Fly‘ stamp set. This stamp can be used in so many ways. Here’s my take….
I created the sky by blending distress inks: mermaid lagoon and tumbled glass. I sprinkled some water and mermaid lagoon to add some interest to the background.
The grass was done by creating a stencil. I blended twisted citron and mowed lawn distress inks. After blending, I sprinkled some water and mowed lawn. I elevated the panel, so I blended the same thing on the card base.
The cute little house, balloons, and geometric tree are all colored with copics and fussy cut. I added foam tape and adhered to the card.
Lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set in white on a piece of black cardstock.
For my 3rd card, I’m featuring the adorable caveman from ‘For my Caveman‘ stamp set.
As soon as I saw this stamp I immediately knew I had to create some painted rocks.
I first stamped the caveman, then stamped the sentiment just below the image(or anywhere you like), then I drew random rocks with an archival pen. Your rocks can be any shapes or sizes you like. That’s the fun part!
I watercolored the rocks with combinations of browns, grays, yellows, and reds watercolor. Sandy Allnock has a fantastic tutorial on her youtube channel you should check out (Link here).
To finish the card, I simply colored the rest of the images using watercolor as well. That finishes the card.
For my last and final card, I used the ‘For My Sunflower‘ stamp set. This stamp is so versatile, you can either stamp it on it’s own or as a cluster, like I did for this card.
I first stamped the image focusing mostly on the corner of the card and only stamping the top portion of the sunflower. I masked the first flower and randomly stamped the others.
I watercolored the sunflowers in yellows and oranges (even a bit of brown). The center was colored in brown. I added some grays around the sunflowers to make the image pop. I flicked some gray and white paint as well, to add a bit of interest. I then stamped a thank you sentiment to finish the card.
I hope you all enjoyed today’s post and got inspired. All featured stamps will be ready for purchase February 4. Yay!!
Till next time!! Thank you 🙂
