Release Inspiration with Rosali

Hi, Rosali here!
How are you today? I hope your day is a good one!! As I type this and look back at the cards I created with all the new stamps I can’t help but smile-this is just such a happy, summer-y release! ☺ I guess that’s why I chose some bright colours to go with the new stamp images!
I have three cards to show you today and they are all quite different from each other but I hope you’re gonna like them all. Now let’s get started! This is my first card:

Just one single stamp set can be more than enough to create a card-especially if it’s a clean and simple one with a graphical design like mine!
I stamped the fun circle image from “You Are Awesome” in four different colours across the borders of my die cut panel. For the sentiment I chose “You are going to rule the world” in that beeeeautiful new font!! Can’t tell you how much I love that font, hah! To finish off the CAS design I added some of the little star images and put a dot in the center of each one with a pearl maker pen. You could also use Nuvo Drops or Perfect Pearls instead.

Now onto the second card! Honestly, this is my favourite … but let’s not tell the other cards, okay? 😉

I stamped and heat embossed the new “Awesome Triangle Wizard” background onto watercolour paper and put some watercolour on top. I chose blue as a complementary colour to make my mainly yellow “Funky Pineapples” really pop! For the pineapples themselves I used Distress Inks and a very loose watercoloring technique with two layers of ink. Love how it turned out! As I send out mostly birthday cards I chose the small “Happy Birthday” from “Monkey Madness” as my sentiment. It has the perfect size if you don’t want to draw attention from your focal image!

For my third card I of course had to use one of the adorable gorillas from “Monkey Madness”! I am determined to get better at no-line colouring so that’s what I did! I used a very light dye ink for stamping and then Copics as my colouring medium.

On the background panel I stamped “Oh yes!” from “You Are Awesome” repeatedly in a light blue ink and then used die cuts to create a little scene on the front.
Thanks for reading all the way, you are awesome!! ♥

Release Inspiration with Tina

Hello fellow crafters!

I am back on Maria’s blog with fun stuff from her brand-new release!! There are so many great sets!!!

I started with the fancy set called „Funky pineapples“. Gosh, how many ideas are floating my mind when I look at these stamps!! Foiling, embossing, watercoloring…. It feels like an invitation for playing, lol ! So here weg go!
Both cards are actually pretty simple. For the first one I stamped my card panel randomly with the different pineapples with versamark ink, sprinkled some white embossing powder over it and melted it with my heat gun. As you may know, once melted, embossing powder is color resistant against many media , like watercolors or colored pencils. So I grabbed my regular watercolors (which I have since my primary school days by the way, lol) and put some colors on in all shades of green and yelllow. A pretty amazing word die (I diecut it 4 times and stacked it on each other) on a torn strip of vellum and some sparkling sequins finished off my design.

For my second card I wanted to create something with rainbow colors, so I came up with this design by masking off every pineapple a tiny bit that I could color them in rainbow order. For the frame around my design I used some green metallic foiling to create more interest to the card.

This is another great and versatile set called „You are Awesome“ – and that’s what it is – awesome! There is a simple wreath and tiny little leaves and dots and things to create a nice greenery on it. Or you can leave it blank as I did on one card and just color in every tiny bit on that wreath. Put an eyecatching word or sentiment over it and you are good to go! And still sooo many possibilities to discover!

Look at these monkeys!! Aren’t they the cutest?? „Monkey Madness“ is just adorable. For my card I turned these monkeys into a family. Mom, dad and the little boy are peeking through the windows of the wildlife station out in the bushes ☺ everything is colored with my copics, even the diecut leaves. The background is sponged with different pigment inks.
I really had a lot of fun creating and playing with all those new sets – I bet you will like them too!

Have an amazing day!

Hugs – Tina

Release Inspiration with Dana

Happy Monday, Krumspring friends! Welcome to Krumspring June Release Week Day 3!
It’s Dana here with 3 cards featuring awesome new release stamp sets. I’m sure you’ll be in love with new stamp sets as always! Let’s get started!

For my first card, I used Awesome Triangle Wizard Stamp set and Monkey Madness stamp set. I couldn’t resist using all cute monkeys from Monkey Madness stamp set and tried showing all of them at once to you.

I started by stamping monkey images with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them using Copic markers. I added a big smiling mouth and cute tongue to some of them. For hugging heart monkey, I gave sparkles for her heart using Wink of Stella Brush.

For rainbow background, I tried new technique using alcohol markers and Ethanol inspired from Jennifer McGuire. She used rubbing alcohol wipes and Yupo paper in her video but I used Ethanol liquid in bottle and thick vellum paper instead.

First, I applied alcohol markers using their broad nips on vellum paper. I put Ethanol in small spray bottle and sprayed it to the rainbow colored vellum paper. Finally, I got a beautiful result looking like water drops. I then white heat embossed Awesome Triangle Wizard stamp on vellum paper and mounted it on the A2 sized white card base using glue tape.

Now, it’s time to arrange all pieces to finish. I stamped sentiment and heart image from Monkey Madness stamp set on die cut front panel. Then, I mounted all elements as shown in the picture using foam adhesives.

For my funky second card, I used Funky Pineapples stamp set. Aren’t they looking so excited? They are already ready for enjoying summer!

To start, I stamped pineapples with Versafine Onyx Black and dye ink on Bristol paper and colored them using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I drew sunglasses and added googly eyes for these summer guys. lol. For sentiment, I heat embossed it using gold tinsel embossing powder on a black card stock and trimmed it using scissors.

After die cutting the silver front panel 5 times and glued them each other for dimension, I adhered turquoise and hot pink card stocks from AC on A2 sized white card base. To finish, I mounted pineapples and sentiment where I wanted them using foam adhesive.

Last but not least, I featured You Are Awesome stamp set for my 3rd card. The scribbled circles are so very versatile and I used it as 2 different ways in this card.

After I saw this doodled circles, I said ‘Oh, hi big flowers!’ Haha. So, I white heat embossed them on watercolor paper here and there and drew free hand flowers using Alpha Tint Watercolor paints inside and between the circles. I painted them thinking about one of my fab flower, Ranunculus but I’m not sure the result. Just free hand flowers! Hehe.

I then heat embossed circles again, but used gold tinsel embossing power at this time on the vellum paper. For the sentiment, I heat embossed it using black sparkle embossing power. Then, I die cut vellum paper with circle die. Small hearts are originally from a medium sized heart shape glitter sticker, my teammate Rosali sent me last year :), I die cut it with small heart die and embellished them around circles.

To finish, I mounted warm grey card stock on A2 sized white card base and adhered watercolor panel on it.

Hope you enjoyed these cards and got some inspirations! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Release Inspiration with Rowena

I’m so excited to be introducing some new stamps for an upcoming release for June 3. So get ready for a whole lot of awesomeness coming your way this week from the entire dream team.

For my first card, I used the ‘You Are Awesome’ stamp. This stamp is perfect for creating beautiful and unique backgrounds for any of your projects but for my card I used it to create a whimsical moon to create my night scene 😉

  1. First I white heat embossed the large scribbly (is that even a word? Oh well it is now! Hehe!!) circle stamp from the ‘You Are Awesome’ stamp.
  2. I masked my moon and blended chipped sapphire, blueprint sketched, faded jeans, and mermaid lagoon distress inks. I added a little bit of black soot to tone down the blues.
  3. I then splattered white paint and perfect pearls for added shine (it’s hard to see on the photo, but trust me it’s shiny) 😉
  4. To finished the scene, I colored the cute hanging bear from the ‘You Make Me Fly’ stamp in copics and the tiny star from ‘Star Power‘ stamp.
  5. To finish my card I used the Believe in Yourself sentiment from ‘Tou-can Do It‘ stamp.

That completes the first card!

As soon as I saw the monkeys from the ‘Monkey Madness’ stamp set, I immediately had an idea in my head. So, for my second card I was inspired by the movie King Kong! Hehe!! A cuter and a lot less scary version of the movie! 😁

For this card I created a fun and cute birthday card. Where King Kong is holding on to some heart balloons and is hanging from the side of a building.

1. I created a loose watercolor sky using a wet on wet technique. I used salty ocean distress ink.

2. I extended the ‘Pixelate Me‘ stamp and created a building, a pattern which I found on the internet. Colored my image in copics.

3. I stamp the heart and made it into balloons. Using a copic friendly pen.

4. I colored all my images in copics and to finish the card I stamp the sentiment from the same set.

I hope you had fun today and got excited for the upcoming release!!! There are many more beautiful and fun cards coming your way from the rest of the dream team so stay tuned!!! Thanks again for stopping by!!!

Happy Crafting!!!

Release week inspiration with Natalie

I’m in love with the new release stamps from Krumspring this month. My absolute favourite has got to be the Funky Pineapples set and I immediately started thinking about all the possible projects I could make! Did you know that pineapples are a symbol for hospitality and welcome? I don’t know where I learned that fact, but it’s what inspired me to use them as a starting point on the ‘Welcome to 2017’ title page for my Project Life album!
Umm….. yes…. I really am that far behind!!

I stamped a few of the pineapples onto watercolour paper and embossed them in glittery gold. I figured that was fitting for pineapples! I painted them in bright colours before cutting them out and using them as the focal point on my title card.

I mixed in a few of the other stamp sets on this card too. I wanted to create an impression of a wreath (sticking with my welcoming theme) so I stamped the big circle frame from the You Are Awesome set in green, and then augmented it with some of the little leaf shapes from the set too. I finished off the embellishments with the bigger heart from the Monkey Madness set, stamped onto patterned paper with the same glittery gold embossing.

My big idea for this opening page in my album was to have a photo of each of my kids, and match them up with a corresponding card where they had journalled their hopes and prayers for the year ahead. I created my set of cards by carefully lining up a couple of rows of the pattern from the Awesome Triangle set and once again used the same gold embossing powder.

Of course, I’ve only got 2 out of my 4 children that can write (yes, I’m counting my yet-to-be-born baby as the 4th!), but the 3rd one was happy to scribble away on his card anyway, and I think that captures the moment just as well!

Anyway, this page has got me feeling pretty satisfied that I’ve finally put a title page on my album! And it also feels good to use all of the new release stamp sets on one project, but keep it cohesive by using a few simple tricks like the same materials and colour scheme.
Have a great day!!

Release week kick off !

Wow, I cannot believe we are kicking off release week for release 6 today! It feels a bit surreal I must admit. But in a good way.

The Dream Team has a bunch of amazing projects to share and today it is my turn!

But first, we have to find a spotlight winner! Who is the lucky winner of the new release? Well read on 😉

The new release consist of four new stampset and these are truly a labor of love. I have been so excited to share these babies with you all. So stay tuned all week for peeks, inspiration and fun with these stampsets. They will be for sale Saturday June 3 at 9am Central European Time.

And the winner is: The Paperfaerie with this card. Please e-mail within 48 hours to claim your prize. Thank you to all who participated and a big congratulations to the winner 🙂
The winner has been drawn randomly from projects submitted to the blog all month, as well as everybody who has placed an order for the spotlight stampsets.

Let’s have a party

For my first card I used the following new stampsets: Monkey Madness and Awesome Triangle Wizard.

I love balloons and even though this little fellow is waving, I think the hand gesture doubles as a holding hand.

I started by stamping the Awesome Triangle Wizard stamp with a light grey using my MISTI. I then coloured in all the triangles in a variety of blues, turquoise and light greens. Because of the MISTI I could stamp the image again on top using Versamark. For the embossing powder I used a silver. Then it was just diecutting the circle. Voila a balloon 🙂
The text and the heart on the vellum circle is also from the new Monkey Madness set. I am really excited about those little gorillas.

You are going to rule the world

We all need some girl power and a boost of confidence once in a while. I know I do for sure! Being a small business owner is something that requires patience (which I do not have) and an icey stomach.

Therefore the focus for this stampset is a mental peptalk to all. Because You are awesome and you are totally going to rule the world! I have no doubt about that.

I double stamped the doodle circle in green and added the leaves here and there. I used the Sunflower from For My Sunflower using the same stamping technique as described above, this time I used gold glitter embossing powder (I was inspired by Natalie’s project for this).

The Monkey Madness set contains this sweet little gorilla with a heart in his hands as well as a selections of texts that fit inside.

Happy birthday

And for the big finale I have a rainbow card!

The Awesome Triangle Wizard is a favourite. The stamp can be easily aligned to create bigger images because all the lines are the same thickness. So if you feel like it is too short, too narrow or you are just going big and bold – it is no problem lining this bad boy up.

The name is an old joke from Instagram which might seem a little weird 🙂 But I was asked what Krumspring meant once, and I explained, ending the sentence “I wish it meant something really cool like “awesome triangle wizard”, but unfortunately it doesn’t”. If you are ever wondering what Krumspring means – read the story here.

I stamped the image three times on a card base and coloured it using Zig Real Color Brush Markers.

The text is from Monkey Madness and the butterfly is from Spread Your Wings.

I hope you enjoyed the first installment of Release 6 inspiration week. We have a ton more inspiration coming your way, so stay tuned.

Guest Designer Niki Bee – Part 3

I love making cards. I love sitting amongst all the things I “must have” and feeling happy. If its a good day, I feel creative too. Today I was rushed with ideas and I’m thrilled with the end result. This card has all the elements which appeal to me the most, a pop of washy colour, subtle dimension, crisp white against light grey cardstock, sparkle and lots of white space.

I started out with stamping, heat embossing and trimming out the heart from the YOU ROCK! set by Krumspring Stamps. Using Distress ink I smooshed ink onto the heart. I did this several times to build up the colour till I was happy with the result.

Next up I took white cardstock and fun foam and die cut them to the size of a regular card. I die cut a circle opening into the card stock, then to line it up perfectly with the fun foam, I slipped the die back onto the white cardstock and placed the fun foam behind it and ran it through my die cutting machine. I could certainly have just used foam tape, but I love the feel and look of using a single piece of fun foam.

I adhered the dried heart onto some scrap fun foam and cut it out. This will ensure the heart and the card panel are the same height.

I love gray cardstock. It’s my go-to. So I took a scrap piece that was a little larger than the die cut circle and adhered it to the back of the panel. I stamped the You Rock sentiment from the YOU ROCK! set and die cut it so the edges match the stitched detail matches the main panel.

The card was complete once I added in some sparkling sequins and clear dots.
Hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Thank you for guest designing for us this month Niki! I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts! 🙂

Star Power Spotlight – part 2

Are you ready for the last spotlight post for this month!?

We are currently putting a spotlight on “Star Power“.

I wanted to end this spotlight with a little story:

  • Star Power is one of the first stampsets I ever did. I created it based on a doodling video I did in February 2016 which I got a massive response for (to me it was massive at least 🙂 ). The videos couldn’t be longer at than 15 seconds at that time. You can watch it here.
When I received my first delivery of stamps, I was just doing it because it was a big dream for me, and I just wanted to try it out. I was very nervous that it would crash and burn. I kept telling myself “This is just a hobby – I am doing it because I love stamps and have been mumbling about this for so many years”.
When I launched the stamps on August 20, 2016 I was SO nervous. I told my boyfriend “I don’t think I can do this – can you please press ´send´for me?”. I hadn’t slept all night and actually postponed it for an additional hour, because I was so nervous.
Well it turned out, I didn’t have any reason to be nervous. The Star Power stampset sold out within 5 hours of launching the stamps. I was completely stunned.
This stampset is still my all time bestseller, and I am eternally grateful that took the leap!
  • This is also a big THANK you to all of you. It was YOU who purchased the stamps and therefore YOU making my dream possible. Thank you from my heart.

Well enough with the sob stories (yes I feel a little emotional) – onto the awesome cards!

20 % discount is available until May 25 at midnight CET.

The Necessary One

Guest Designer Niki – part 2

Hello, being a crafty who only ever creates cards with the recipient in mind, card designs can either come super easy or depending on the person, can never feel perfect enough. For this card I wanted to celebrate my friend who just accomplished her fund raising goals. I had jewel tones in mind and The One triangle at a time set from Krumspring Stamps was perfect.

I started out by stamping and heat embossing the One triangle at a time stamp onto watercolor card stock. I had envisioned a purple to gray ombre colour scheme. I used my Gansai Tambi’s to watercolor. I did two layers and allowed them to both dry completely before moving on. As my panel had warped a tad, I placed it under some heavy books for the night to straighten out.
Next up I choose a dark gray panel that was just a little larger than my stamped panel. I thought this would off set the light gray in the embossed piece. I had initially thought to use the large “congratulations” from The necessary one set, but I felt I needed the sentiment to be popped up to add dimension to a very flat card thus far.

So I changed my sentiment to the smaller “congratulations” in The Necessary One set and stamped it out on lighter gray cardstock. I was happy with the simplicity of the sentiment strip compared to the fussy background. I cut it the embossed panel and adhered it to the dark cardstock.

I finished up the piece with several sequins and clear dots and of course stamped my envelope to match.

A view of the full card:

Hope you enjoyed the making of this card, happy crafting!
